TIA2021 entries OPEN!
In case you missed it… due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID 19) pandemic we made some changes to the last stretch of The Insurance Apprentice 2020 competition.
If you watched the final task of TIA2020 (episode seven), you were probably wondering when we were going to announce the winner. Working remotely from his home in Cape Town, our Head judge, Simon Colman, AKA ‘Judge Dread’ shared an important message with our audience.
You have time to take part
With over 450 000 views, having exceeded that of previous seasons thanks to our digital marketing sponsor Elite Risk Acceptances, loyal fans, followers and audience, The Insurance Apprentice 2020 competition grew in leaps and bounds.
Having evolved, to encourage audience engagement and participation, the competition boasted/boasts few competitions, including that of the Superfan competition (answer the #Superfan question, up to episode seven, to stand a chance to win R20 000) and the Social Media Influencer (this is someone who is really active and embraces social media – gets the engagement going on all or some of the TIA social media platforms stands a chance to win R5 000).
While Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours were/are once again attached to the episodes, with a growing list of fantastic prizes, we also saw the ‘Best Team Player’ and ‘Audience Favourite’ prize added to the mix.
As we wait for the lockdown and COVID-19 pandemic to run its course, so we can get back on track with the winner announcement event where all the fantastic prize handovers will take place, we want to remind you that you still have time to take part. With a sponsorship from Elite Risk Acceptances, we will run a few additional competitions with cash prizes to entice our industry people to get more involved and spread the word even more. Watch us on all our social media platforms.
If you have not taken part in the Superfan or Social media competition or raked up those CPD hours… now is the time to do so, in the comfort of your own home!

“Applications for each series usually open around the beginning of April, and although the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the postponement of the ending of TIA 2020… for us, it is business as usual and the show must go on,” said Rianet Whitehead, Editor of FAnews and Organiser of The Insurance Apprentice.
“On this note, we wish to share the exciting news with you that applications for The Insurance Apprentice 2021 have officially opened.
