Terms & Conditions

  1. You have to be under 35 at the time of application.
  2. You have been working in the short term insurance industry (any part of it) for four or more years at
    the time of application.
  3. You preferably need to hold some form of short term insurance qualification – a COP or equivalent,
    although not mandatory.
  4. Regional rounds take place in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. If you make it to the
    elimination rounds, you will travel at your own cost to the elimination round closest to you.
  5. The competition is only open to South African citizens living and working in South-Africa.
  6. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  7. The closing date for the entry is (FOR NOW) 31 August.
  8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason. It is your
    responsibility to confirm receipt.
  9. The participant’s employer will need to be aware of the fact that if the participant’s application is
    successful, filming will take place in early January, which means that the participant will not be in the
    office in early January. Please note that this date might change; all entrants will be updated in time if
    the date changes.
  10. The decisions of the Insurance Apprentice panel will be final, including but not limited to the
    eligibility of participants and the amendment of rules and competition details.
  11. If you are chosen as one of the final participants, you will not receive a salary or payment of any kind
    for the week from promoters or sponsors while taking part in the competition.
  12. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and the rules without notice in
    the event of a catastrophe, war, epidemic, civil or military disturbance, or any actual or anticipated
    breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any
    changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible, by the promoter.
  13. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third
    party connected with this competition.
  14. No cash alternative to the prize will be offered. The prize is not transferable.
  15. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no
    correspondence will be entered into.
