TIA | The Insurance Apprentice

You better hurry… there’s 10 days left!

Entries for The Insurance Apprentice 2024 are almost closing… you better hurry!

If you have not applied yet, get your application in, as entries close on 30 September.

That leaves potential candidates with just over a week left.

I have a suggestion…

If you are keen, but you don’t think you are 100% ready, take the step and enter. Go and experience what the fuss is all about. See this as a trial run to prepare yourself better for next year. Go with an open mind, and just don’t overthink this…

Still uncertain about entering?

Watch Christopher Appanah, winner of The Insurance Apprentice 2023 shares his experience of the competition, plus why YOU should consider entering in a video sponsored by Norton Rose Fulbright.

If this convinces you and you think you have what it takes to be the next Insurance Apprentice, then apply. If you are younger than 35, have been in the short-term insurance industry for more than four years and hold a short-term insurance qualification (although not mandatory) – fill out your application form here

We also urge managers/companies to identify the people they believe can make it and push them to apply. Let’s get all those young talented professionals to apply.

If we have not convinced you yet we want to remind you that on top of getting your brand out there, learning more about the industry and going through an accelerated growth experience there are the awesome prizes to be won…

Once entries close

Once applications close on 30 September, and the top candidates are identified, regional elimination rounds, sponsored by Santam, will take place. If you have been chosen to go through to the second round, you will be notified in the second week of October. For those candidates that make it through to the second round, elimination dates are as follows:

  • – Durban 27 October;
  • – Cape Town 30 October; and
  • – Johannesburg 3 November

After the elimination rounds in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, the panellists will identify 20 contestants who will then take part in the final elimination round at Discovery Insure on 29 November. The Top 10 will be chosen, but the fun for everyone will already start then because no one is allowed to share anything… no one will know who has been chosen, and everyone is only going to see that in Episode 1, which will be aired in March 2024.

Filming will take place from 15 to 19 January 2024, in Johannesburg. The series will be aired via the FAnews and The Insurance Apprentice websites, YouTube and Facebook.

Editor’s thoughts:

Sometimes you just need a little nudge… just the right amount of fear to challenge yourself, because there is nothing to lose. Apply today. You never know… you could just make it to the top ten or be crowned the winner of The Insurance Apprentice 2024 and walk away with awesome prizes, not to mention getting your brand out there, learning more about the industry and going through an accelerated growth experience. Isn’t this an opportunity you’d like to take, let alone experience? Please pop me an email if you would like some encouragement or have questions to apply.
