Marking a decade of remarkable achievements. The culmination of The Insurance Apprentice 2024 unfolded last night, April 18, at Hollard, with the unveiling of the competition’s champion.

The event and episode were jointly sponsored by Hollard Insure and Global Choices.

A starry night

The MC for the evening was Nico Panagio (the host of Survivor SA) who kept the audience entertained with some highlight videos from contestants and of course talking to the contestants in true Survivor style about their experiences, delving into some of the things that happened during filming week.

The top 3 and winner

Before announcing the winner, Panagio talked a bit about the judges and called Head Judge, Simon Colman, and Resident Judge, Nox Dlamini, up to have a quick chat with them about the judging process and some of their experiences during filming week.

TIA Founder and Creator, Rianet Whitehead, also shared a bit of the journey, what this season meant and how incredible it is to celebrate ten years of changing lives.

Mandilakhe Madikane (Emerald Risk Transfer) came in third place, followed by Rheinhardt Schnetler (Hollard Insure) in second place, with Temwa Nyirenda (Santam Broker Solutions) announced as the winner.

It was an electrifying moment as Temwa was proclaimed the victor of The Insurance Apprentice 2024. In his acceptance speech, as the 2024 Insurance Apprentice winner, Temwa thanked the sponsors, the FAnews/Insurance Apprentice team and his friends, family and colleagues.

Awards and trophies

Throughout the competition, there was a voting competition running, with a total of 10 000 votes cast. The winner of the audience favourite won R10 000 and the winning voter R5 000 cash, thanks to Bryte Insurance. The winner of the competition (in terms of the person who voted the most) was Johnny Mpho Mpya and the contestant with the most votes was Temwa. Congratulations Jonny and Temwa.
